Trex 800 work with APM?

Hi all
Have just bought a T-REX 800E DFC TREKKER Super Combo.

Would APM work well with this and its flybarless system ?..

Heli:
T-REX 800E DFC TREKKER Super Combo
3GX Flybarless system
Castle ICE2 HV 120 Brushless ESC
750MX Brushless Motor (450KV)

radio: Futaba T14sg

best regards

APM can definitely fly it, I’ve used it on a 700 heli. However, you do not use the 3GX FBL controller, that is completely removed. The APM does everything.

I strongly encourage people to learn how the system works on a smaller machine first, as it can be complicated to use and there’s a lot to learn.

Hello,

I am currently using the same setup but with a Spektrum DX18 instead and and I am having an issue with swashplate travel. I have everything running in the correct direction and the cyclic with enough travel but I cannot get the collective pitch to move more than about 4 or 5 degrees total.

My radio is calibrated and everything else seems to be working correctly. Did you have a similar problem and if so how did you fix this?

Thank You

Did you set your pitch range in the heli setup menu through mission planner? Do that and use a pitch gauge while doing the setup. Seems to work a lot better then it did in the past.

I have my Roll and Pitch max set and working, I get almost no movement on collective though.

Please post your parameters and I’ll have a look.
