Throttle speed too high in Acro and steering Modes

“I am using manual mode to drive in acro and steering modes”
Manual, Acro and Steering are 3 different Modes with different characteristics. I don’t k now what you mean by “capture lower throttle speed”. All this does is capture the % throttle that produces a certain vehicle speed so it can scale throttle to speed for some modes.

No, it’s not supposed to move immediately switching to Acro. That’s in indication you don’t have it tuned properly. Did you go thru all 3 of these? In this order.

That’s what I am trying to do but have to get throttle and cruise speed set first. I will go outside later today and set the throttle and and cruise speed the proper way and then get back with you all to let you know how it goes. Thanks again for all the help…Rick

sounds like the min, max, and trim settings. Can’t be sure until a log or something is posted showing the parameters. Rover should work if all steps are done in order. Hang in there.

Yeah !!! Great news !!! It was a really nice evening around sunset in Washington State if you can believe that. I set up shop outside and we are on a dead end street with virtually no traffic. Ideal for testing. I had great satellite reception with 19 to 21 satellites with an hdop of (.6). Actually inside at times I had 18 satellites with an hdop of (.8). Also my compass direction was spot on inside and outside. I drove in manual mode and captured cruise throttle and speed with the transmitter switch I set up. Got a cruise throttle of 25% and speed of 1.7 fps. Even at a throttle of 25% it goes at the correct speed or rather a good speed. I then put it in acro mode and it didn’t start running until I used the throttle. This was the first good sign. Then I was able to run vehicle at the trained speed and throttle and not full speed at 100% throttle. The steering was pretty bad and was quite unstable and oscillated at times but I suspect this was due to the fact the steering needs a good bit of tuning tuning. In manual mode I noticed the vehicle veared to the left but I suspect that I need to adjust the steering trim with the transmitter. Onward and upward or I guess I should say forward. Now I can start the throttle and steering tuning and then the nav computer tuning. Thanks again for hanging in there with me. I’m sure I will have further questions but happy to get over this hurdle…Rick
