I’ve only encountered it today, after countless years of flying grids, probably because this client only had dealt with data from planes with fixed cameras mounted with the top pointing sideways, and I was flying multirotor with camera top forward.
Needless to say, I had to fly sideways.
But MP doesn’t look at the vehicle heading when it computes lane separation, it looks at flight direction instead. OK, it was as simple as unticking “camera top points forward”, but it took some figuring out in the field.
