Testing ESC Without Transmitter

Hello,
Is there any way to calibrate and test ESCs using only the ardupilot, without a transmitter or receiver?
If not, is there a way to send control instructions over the telemetry set instead to the same end?

At this point, we really don’t recommend flying without a transmitter and receiver. It’s just not safe.

There are some instructions here on attaching a gamepad through the mission planner:
copter.ardupilot.com/wiki/flying … ontroller/

If you use that you may be able to calibrate the ESCs using the regular ESC calibration method but no promises. copter.ardupilot.com/wiki/initia … esc-motor/

So it may be possible but it may not be. In the end though, we can’t support things that are unsafe and flying without a TX/RX is unsafe. sorry!

Thanks, for testing esc’s and motors the joystick option works, but since acquiring a transmitter receiver pair, we’ve been using that.

Thank you
