Terrain clamping and loaded vertical data

So I’m trying to sort out why I keep getting terrain clamping warnings and ending up with photogrammetry flights that are too low. Currently I’m loading a geotiff in wgs84 CGVD28 HT2v70. The vertical coordinates are from a hybrid geoid and not EGM96. Even though HT2 references the GRS80 ellipsoid and EGM96 references WGS84, they’re very close. So when I take off, my elevation is within a meter of two of the flight plan but I’m still getting the terrain clamping issues. What is the autopilot (cube orange) referencing for the error? Could it be SRTM and it’s ignoring the geotiff elevation grid? Given the age of SRTM data, it would be up to 40m lower.

If you have a valid Geotiff loaded in Mission Planner with relevant data, then MP will send the srtm data based on that GeoTiff when a TERRAIN_REQUEST message is received. So it should be something with the data…
