TBS CrossFire vs. TBS Tracer

I was really excited to see @andyp1per 's 5" long range build.

Made a noob mistake and bought a TBS Crossfire Micro TX, not realizing that the TBS Crossfire Tracer is different from TBS CrossFire. Some posts say that TBS Crossfire Micro TX and Tracer Sixt9 are incompatible, but Joshua Bardwell in this video seems to be mentioning that you just need to update the CRSF TX to version 6.09 + for Tracer Sixty 9 to work with CRSF. Please advise whether I need to buy a TBS Tracer TX for Tracer Sixty9

That doesn’t seem possible. Crossfire is 868/915MHz and Tracer is not (2.4Ghz).

Thanks kindly for the prompt response.

The Sixty 9 comes in both Tracer and Crossfire versions. Tracer TX for Tracer RX. Crossfire TX for Crossfire RX.

You need Tracer on both RX and TX or regular Crossfire on both RX and TX

Thanks very kindly Andy. I will get a tracer tx
