I am building a hexacopter. After setting everything up correctly when I power on the drone. Motor which is assigned to channel 6 starts continuously beeping. I have checked the ESC and I am sure that it is good. I think the output pin 6 of APM 2.8 is fried. Is it possible that I can assign the control signal which is being output by channel 6 to channel 7.
You would be better off replacing that obsolete Flight Controller with a supported one.
