Survey - Why are photo's taken during turns in a Survey Grid

Hello.

After setting up a aerial survey in mission planner (1.3.24) and flying the mission for a 2D/3D mapping project for a client. Why does it take photos during the turns? This creates additional work as we then have to manually remove these photos, as they often are taking at a 45 degree angle and include the sky, which creates issues with Pix4D when processing.

What options does one have to address this issue?

Thank you.

It’s been requested before. Most people don’t mind the extra shots. Sometimes you get a great bonus scenic image this way. I know this is not what you want to hear, sorry. The only workaround right now is to use DO_SET_CAM_TRIGG_DIST to turn on/off the triggering for each flight line. This is very cumbersome, but can be made much quicker by editing the flight plan in Excel.

Search for this request on Github and if isn’t there, add it. I think I’ve seen it before.

Its not really that much extra effort and you should be reviewing your images for any super blurry ones anyway as they really can bork post production.

please tick the “breakup starts” option.
