Speedybee F405v3

Hello,
I think I might be a little bit too deep into this with some key questions unanswered.

I have the speedybee f405v3 with the 4xesc.
I have successfully connected to MP via usb.
I have an old 433mhz 3DR radio set which is tested as working on my old APM2.8.
I have soldered the 3DR radio directly to the 4 pads on FC - G, 5V, R3, T3. I have ensured TX to RX and RX to TX.
The radio powers on but it just stays a solid green light, no activity on the red LED.
I also changed the baud rate of serial3 in MP to 9600 and wrote to device over USB still no activity.
Now, my soldering is not the nicest, I’m not as steady as I used to be. But is there anything simple I have overlooked that I should check before I start messing with the solder again?
Are these pads even capable of driving this radio? a setting to change? Will I have these issues when i go to solder my gps/compass and my sonar?
Thanks in advance for any help.

ok, so I got it working, I don’t know whether there was a loose wire or bad solder joint, I will try and recreate the issue once I document my current settings.
Serial3_Baud = 57600
Serial3_Options=768 which is NoDMA for both RX and TX.
Serial3_Protocol = 2
I plugged it into batt and noticed the red activity light flashing away so tried to connect and it did so straight away.
I will move on to the sonar and gps now, wish me luck.
