Hello! I have experience with many of the plug and play GPS modules that have been tested with the pixhawk family with great success. Recently I cam across a project where I need to use an extern GPS antenna for a drone, but it does not require RTK. Will this sparksfun module work once the connector is wired on? Searching legacy gps modules the pixhawk is compatible with, this sparkfun module seems to have all the same pins. Thanks in advance!
I don’t see any roadblocks to that working. You might consider Matek’s M10 based modules at a similar price point and perhaps a bit more convenient package.
If you’d rather have a proven module with an SMA connector for a remote antenna, the Here base module works just as well as an onboard GPS even without using the RTK capability.
