Some questions about APM 2.6

Hi everyone!
I am very new to multirotors and rc in general, I wanted to know a few things in the mission planner software.

  1. My hexacopter is [size=200]WAY[/size] too powerful! I repeat: [size=200]WAY TOO POWERFUL![/size] and I have a 0 to 10 to 20 to 30 to 40% throttle curve on the controller. I only have to apply under 1/10th of stick movement and the drone will take off about 7 to 12 inches off of the ground. I was wondering on how to limit the throttle in software. Even if I knew how, I couldn’t do it via telemetry radios because mission planner doesn’t want to connect to my drone via the telemetry radio, even when it works on my Galaxy S4. But on my GS4 the battery voltage doesn’t show up on the app.
    If anyone has any ideas on how to fix my problems, please let me know!
