Slow refresh rate on LidarLite v3HP I2C

Hello, new guy here.
I’m setting up a standard fixed wing airplane on Holybro Pixhawk 4 with a LidarLite v3HP via i2c. Everything works except I get a measurement once every 1-2 seconds.
I saw a thread from September about the same issue which stated that it should be fixed, but I can still see it. I’m using the latest stable release 3.9.10.
Is there a way to increase the rate?
