@FrozenAtlas Can you share the correct coordinates of that picture?
(33.0201593, -96.6431136) this is as close as I could find. The negative seems to be an issue.

Another connector related question, I wired up a new connector to the A8 Mini for the video feed over ethernet, cut my own RJ45/Ethernet cable and the Siyi manual says the pinout should be TX+, TX-, RX+, RX-. The connector out of the box has these swapped, which seems to make sense to have bi-directional communication over TX and RX, so the connector on the Siyi side goes in the order TX-, TX+, RX-, RX+. Which does work for video feed, so can anyone explain how to build one of these connectors yourself? Would be very helpful because my wiring looks identical but I get no video over ethernet anymore from the siyi with an identical pinout.
You need to swap TX with RX, not + with -
The pinout of the connector and the diagram from Siyi in the manual are unfortunately a bit unhelpful, so in this case I should go from Orange-White (RJ45 TX+) to Siyi RX+ (pin 6), Orange (RJ45 TX-) to Siyi RX- (pin 7) and the same logic for pins 4 and 5?

This is what I was trying to use, but it doesnât appear to match what is actually shipped with the gimbal, do you maybe have a wiring diagram/pinout of the internal TX/RX of the gimbal?
Did you manage to solve the issue with the geotagging, I am also getting wrong information. @SIYI could you help please? I am using the latest firmware package

They have sent me some firmware files to test but nothing working until now.

Currently the gimbal does not go crazy. But if the UA is consistently at a roll angle, then the gimbal also match that angle.
I have a question regarding strange attitude, while in upside down mode on the newest firmware (0.3.7).
When working in upside down mode gimbal reports incorrect attitude (pitch always around 179.9 or -179.9 degrees, yaw and roll around 0.01), and seems to not correlate with any changes of the actual gimbal position
Have you upgraded all other versions of firmware to match each other, and is the indicator light of A8mini always on green? To update the firmware of A8mini, you need to upgrade the firmware of SD card version and the firmware of gimbal version and match with each other, if there is no problem with the version firmware, then calibrate the A8min gimbal with IMU and ACC.
can you please tell me how you solved this problem because i am in middle of the orientation lose and cant find any way to solve this.
Also i discovered that my camera doesnt loose its orientation when i didnt connect it with the telemetry from the FCU but as soon as i connect the telemetry with camera it starts loosing its orientation.

I am facing a issue with my A8 mini which is orientation losing in mid flight. but when i donât connect the telemetry to the gimbal it works fine and as soon as i connect the telemetry to the camera it starts loosing its orientation.
Currently i am using cube orange plus as a flight controller.
Reading this whole SIYI thread and the couple others on the forum lead me to think that we clearly need a summary somewhere! There is also inconsistencies in the firmware version numbers that make things even harder to follow.
Example:
Based on post #696 in this thread, the latest firmware version is supposed to be Camera 0.3.4 and Gimbal 0.3.6.
I follow the link and download the firmware package on SIYI webpage and unrar the thing. I obtained files that do not match those numbers.
The actual package is named âA8 mini Firmware Pack v0.3.7â It contain the gimbal firmware v0.3.7 and a Camera firmware v0.2.6 svn1493 date: 2027-04-29.
Does the Camera firmware 0.3.4 exist and if so where is it?
All in all I am not unhappy with my siyi system. I have and use a A8 mini + A2 mini with MK15 unit on a boogie board. I look at my A2 on the FPV app and control itâs gimbal with channel 15. This work fine. Meanwhile, I monitor the video stream of my A8 mini via RTSP in QGC siyi app and I control the gimbal, centering, zooming, recording and pictures triggering with MK15 buttons and sticks. This also work. I did not upgrade the A8 firmware to the 0.3 and up version yet. I read here a lot of people having trouble after the upgrade.
Is it a good idea to upgrade? Some new feature seem interesting (one video folder and one picture folder instead of A to D folders). Apparently bigger SD card available etcâŚ
I donât want to lose what I gain after a lot of work just because I upgrade.
Adding on that. Someone on BlueRobotic forum is able to record the A2 mini stream directly in QGC. They use RTSP and h.264 format. Then they find the video file in QGC video folder. With the A2 and A8, this feature donât work with the QGC siyi app version on the MK15. Fair enough, the video can be found on the SD card with the A8 mini. But if I just download a generic QGC app for android on my MK15, could I record the RTSP stream in the QGC video folder? The A8 mini can be set to output H.264 format. I donât use the touch screen to move my A8 gimbal so for me the SIYI QGC app is not very useful. I converted the A8 to underwater recording. Itâs inside a dome and the SD card is not easy to access. Having a video file directly in the MK15 memory would be a very good alternative.
To summarize:
Q1. where is camera firmware 0.3.4?
Q2. should I upgrade my firmware (gimbal and camera) for extra feature or not?
Q3. Does the A8 mini stream set to h.264 format can be recorded in android latest QGC version (not siyi app)?

When A8mini is connected to the telemetry port of FCU, is the baud rate set to 115200, and is it using the same baud rate as other telemetries?
