SITL is behaving strangely in Mission Planner

On a brand new Mission Planner install, when I activate the SITL software, instead of the model being stationary, it is moving without being command to do as such.

Can someone please help me understand why this is happening? My understanding is that it should be stationary until armed and “TAKEOFF” mode (for e.g.) activated?

It seems that is it loading parameters from a temp file (see first snap) as opposed to the standard parameters (see second snap of a PC on which SITL is working correctly)

Furthermore, it does not respect me inputting –add-param-file=*pathtofile* as an extra command line argument.

Any idea how to remedy?
