SITL and HITL with Xplane and Arduplane

Hi

As a beginner, I wanted to know if Arduplane supports Software and Hardware in the Loop testing with Xplane, to test a new flight mode for a fixed wing UAV.
I’d be grateful for a prompt reply.

Thanks.

Yes it does but i like Realfight 8

@yak-54 Thank you for the information. Can you please suggest what version of Arduplane would work well with Xplane 10 or 11?

the i am using 1.3.72

@yak-54, That version number would be a reference to the GCS Mission Planner.

@charan1, HIL is no longer supported by ArduPilot. SITL can be run with many different flight dynamics models. All of the needed information can be found here. There is also the forum section #arduplane:plane-simulation.

X-Plane 10 and 11 work. The networking menus in X-Plane 11 are slightly different, but not too difficult to translate from the current instructions. Launching SITL from Mission Planner will use the nightly build of the master branch. I would suggest setting up a developer environment with WSL and VcXsrv if you are wanting to run a particular version of ArduPlane.

I use Xplane 11 and Realflight 8.5
