SiK Telemetry on Quadcopters for Data Collection

I would like to run two Sik telemetry modules (http://ardupilot.org/copter/docs/common-3dr-radio-advanced-configuration-and-technical-information.html) on a Pixhawk quadcopter (one at 400 and one at 900 MHz). One would be for the standard Mavlink to Mission Planner, and the other would be to transmit data from a scientific instrument carried by the quadcopter. The instrument data would be stored on the laptop and displayed in a window in Mission Planner or Windows. Is this capability already available with these SiK telemetry modules? Is it available somewhere online? Has it already been done? Does someone know where I can find instructions online on how to have the instrument talk to and through the SiK modules? Thanks!

If you are not sending MAVLink packets you need to disable the MAVLink framing and make it protocol agnostic.
