does the radio telem link Ariel need to be mounted externally or can i function quite happily behind 2-3mm of nylon/abs?

My reason for asking is im running ardupilot rover on a boat and i would rather have less holes in the cover that i need.

2.4ghx receiver is happy behind the case no need to an external ariel. was wondering if that was the case for the telem link too.

It should be but the true test is to actually try it out and check if the range is satisfactory for your needs.

tested and working fine up to 200M which is more than enough for my use… thanks :slight_smile:
