SiK 2.0 vs 2.2 Firmware

Long story short I’ve ended up with one mRo 915Mhz (V2) telemetry radio on SiK V2.2 firmware. A quick check around the empire of dirt has shown me that the rest of my radios are on 2.0. I’ve connected this one black sheep to one of drones and it seems to work fine on the bench.

Does anyone know if there’s a reason to not mix SiK 2.0 and 2.2 firmware?

As a side note: Mission Planner installs 2.2, but QGC is still installing 2.0 (as of two days ago)

Hi @Allister

You can mix them. No problems discovered yet.

The V2.1 was a add on for the Si1060 chip. It’s the successor of the Si1000 chip which is retired (EOL). For example the Si1060 is used in the newer Holybro V3 radios.
And V2.2 was a bug fix for the Si1060 to a get better sync with existing Si1000’s.

I was unknowingly mixing fimrwares 1.6.x, 1.7.x, 1.8.x, and 1.9.x and didn’t have any problems or notice anything at all, but I updated all to 2.2 just because.
