Setup for AP with SpeedyBee

Hi everyone, I have a question that I’m hoping someone can help me with I am very new to this. I’m currently building a boat that is using the SpeedyBee F405 wing flight controller. The plan is to have two pontoons each having their own motor and ESC. When I connect to INAV I’m able to move the motors and connect to them great, but when I download the rover ArduPilot firmware and go to motor testing nothing happens besides the motors constantly beeping.
I followed some steps online to disable the RC as we don’t plan to use it as our teacher just wants it autonomous. How can I setup up the motors so I can test them to verify running and working before trying to figure out the waypoint?
The project is to basically follow waypoints and return. We also plan to use Arduino with ultrasonic sensor to avoid obstacles but that’s a different mess.
We do not plan to use a remote controller.
Components: SpeedyBee F405 wing, BZ-251 GPS, 2 ESC by wind 60A, 2 underwater brushless motors.
I great appreciate any help!!

You are going to need one anyway to configure and tune the craft.

Thanks for a response. Does the RC have to be the fancy one that typically go with remote controlled cars or is there an alternative to just configure and tune?

Any RC system will work if the Receiver uses an Ardupilot supported protocol. PPM, Sbus, iBus, CRSF, ExpressLRS, couple others.
I use the same radio for Rover that I use for Plane’s and Multirotors.
