Setting up landing gear for pixhawk FC

I am looking for someone to walk me through setting up my retractable landing gear in Mission Planner. I have connected the gear to Aux#3 on the pixhawk board. I set CH opt7 to “landing gear” in the Extended tuning section. In the full Parameter list I set CH7_OPT value to 29 and RC11_function value to 29. I get no response when I flip my channel 7 on my TX. Any help would be great.

I did follow the tutorial on the link, but I am guessing that I am not putting the right values in the correct boxes or I am missing something. I am new to Pixhawk and am trying to set things up for the first time.
