RTL and AUTO mode are pitching down aggressively

Hi guys,

I have a problem with a believer with matek f405 wing that has latest arduplane fw. I launched it in TakeOff mode successfully, after that I switched to FBWA and flew very well. I made also the autotune for 20 or so minutes with no problem. But when I switched to RTL or AUTO is pitching down and rolls just a little. I checked the control surfaces, TX, everything, everything looks good, but I know is something that I miss.

Does anyone have any idea?

Start with the simple stuff I guess. What is your RTL Altitude? Was the flight plan you had set in AUTO using the same altitude? (Relative or terrain)

I switched RTL on ~100m and the mission was 100m also relative. RTL is set also on 100m.

Yeah, I figured it wasn’t going to be that easy. The smart people around here are probably going to ask for flight logs. (but I’m not that smart)

Have you tried going through the TECS tuning? https://ardupilot.org/plane/docs/tecs-total-energy-control-system-for-speed-height-tuning-guide.html#

@itsnotme imho posting a log would really be a smart move.
