The RPLIDAR A1M8 360 degree scanner only cost $100. Can I wire this up to my Pixhawk the same as with the RPLidar A2 360 degree lidar to use for obstacle avoidance for my Tarot 680 PRO hexacopter?
INdoor yes, outdoor NO.
From the manual : “RPLIDAR A1 is basically a laser triangulation measurement system. It can work
excellent in all kinds of indoor environment and outdoor environment without
sunlight.”
There’s the rub! Outdoor with NO sunlight is why it only cost $100! Thanks!!
