Does anyone know if rfd900+ is compatible with rfd900x?
There’s a note on the RFD900X page that says:
Note: Not air-compatible with older “+” series modems with current software.
So I’d say no but I’ve never tested it. I know that X and UX are compatible.

Allister is correct - they are incompatible. The “X” has so many improvements it’s not worth using a “+” except for on your favourite old “mess around” vehicle.
A “+” is probably going to be better than any cheap radios, and maybe even some new ones - if you already own a set of “+” radios.
But if you have to buy radios, dont be convinced to get “+” instead of “X”
