Tried upgrading a pair of 900x today and noticed the air unit got buring hot.
Used default settings except Tx power = 20.
The ground unit is working fine so I’m suspecting the hardware fault.
Is there anything I can do aside from buying another set?
Edit: the overheated unit is still functional but gets burning hot in less than a minute of power.

This chip has a spot on it which the ground unit doesn’t have.
Too bad I’m not very good with electronics…

Contacted RFDesign.
Seppo pointed that it was a regulator probably damaged by transient input voltagr above 6V.
But they still offered a replacement.
Excellent support!
