Radio Calibration screen GUI has channels mixed up,

Hi Guys,
I am using MP 1.3.58 build 1.3.6794.30567

have spent a few hours trying to work out why the GUI on the radio calibration page is not showing the appropriate channel movement.
I have my Turnigy 9X setup in Mode 2, yet when I move the Throttle stick up and down the MP software shows input on the PITCH channel, when I move the ROLL stick then the THROTTLE channel shows input, when I move the Pitch stick then ROLL channel shows input, the only channel that shows proper input is the YAW channel.
The weird thing is that when I am on the FAILSAFE page then channels 1-4 will show input on all appropriate channels…
I triple checked all PPM encoder leads are fitted to the their respective ports…

is this a bug or am I just not seeing the “woods because of the trees?”

after hours of fruitless this and that, and changing this that and the next thing…basically disappearing up my own butt…I discovered that it was a faulty PPM encoder module… swapped the offending one out for a decent quality one and BAM…all working fine…
