So I want to buy the tablet in the link but I just want to make sure it has what I need to connect:
Google - Nexus 7 - 32GB - Brown
Model: NEXUS7 ASUS-1B32
Android 4.1 Jelly Bean
GPS enabled,Via Google Maps
Micro USB port
NVIDIA Tegra 3 T30L processor with a 1MB L2 cache and 1.2GHz processor
G-sensor, light sensor, E-compass, gyroscope and hall sensor
I use the 2012 version of the Nexus 7 tablet to run Droidplanner. According to the Wiki the current model (what you are looking at) is what the developers use, so I expect it’ll be very well supported.

If you are mainly going to use the tablet just for Droidplanner, you might be able to find a refurb 2012 model for under $100.
I upgraded mine to the latest version of Android (4.4, I think). It works fine the few times I’ve run Droidplanner on it.
As stated by John, the Nexus 7 (2013) is what’s used by the developers. So you should not find any compatibility issues. And it’s a great tablet, specially if you consider the price.
