Quadplane denied to land in auto mission

Hi guys,

We are flying VTOLs in full auto mode for our project. It has been OK until last sortie when GCS went frozen in the middle of flight and VTOL began its RTL. We were expecting it to complete landing but it somehow denied to complete landing and kept going back up in Q_RTL mode which re-triggered each time when it was approaching close to the ground.

We tried to manually land it in Q_loiter or Q_hover mode but VTOL denied to get close to the ground. Altitude varied each time when the VTOL began to go back up in Q_RTL mode. We accidentally commanded STABILIZE mode against our intention of Q_STABILIZE mode and we could land it right after that incident in Q_loiter mode somehow.

She flew as normal in the following sortie. I know it was not a ratinoal decision to fly it again without rectifying the cause but we had to run a risk.
