Quadplane auto mission

I’m looking at using the new quadplane capability to do auto missions. Since the new quadplane code is primarily based on plane firmware, is there anything I can’t do while in copter mode? Can I do a full autonomous mission using just the quad motors? Obviously I don’t plan to build up a whole quadplane just to fly around in copter mode all the time. Just trying to understand what limitations, if any, there are.


Yes but obviously you would just be dragging the plane around for the ride then…

@Gary_Mortimer - does this really work (AUTO with waypoints in quad mode only)? I’ve been trying to get my QuadPlane fly in AUTO and follow waypoints for a few days, this won’t work. After VTOL_TAKEOFF it won’t go to the next WAYPOINT.
