Quad Plus and Forward Flight

I have been flying quad-x for a while but have never flown quad-plus. I am considering quad-plus just because it structurally makes things convenient for my next build.

Since in forward flight the rotors’ inflow will be asymmetric compared to quad-x, are there noticeable differences in forward flight control?

I have flown both configurations before and haven’t really noticed a large different flight-wise between the two.
