PX4FLOW Smart Camera APM2.8

Goodday everyone! I bought a PX4FLOW Smart Camera and i am trying to get it to work on my APM2.8 FC…

Lets start of by telling you guys i am a complete newbee to quads and flight controllers etc… The flowmeter works on I2C so i connected it to the FC and enabled the flow meter in mission planner (the flowmeter works when it is connected directly to mission planner, so it is OK).
When i check the OPT_M_X,Y & QUA values on the status tab they are all zero.
Does anyone know if the flowmeter actualy works on the APM and if so, what am i doing wrong???

Hi Koen,

Unfortunately from looking at the source code, it looks like th optical flow is only supported on PX4 and Linux boards. There isnt an optical flow driver written for APM. The reason is probably that APM is not really fast or powerful enough to run it.

Hiroshi Takey is working on updating APM hardware. You could ask him if there is a chance to support optical flow
