Protection Circuit for High Voltage Spikes

Hello,
I have a hybrid drone which runs by a gasoline generator and two 6S lipo battery in series. Generator sometimes make problems by sudden voltage spikes. So i want to protect my hardwares in the drone. Do you have any suggestion hardware/circuit for this kind of situation?

You could design a circuit based on using zener diode which can handle high current and bigger than 6S breakdown voltage.

Solder a transzorb (TVS=transient voltage supressor) in parallel.

Hello, how can i calculate the tvs current?

Estimate it. Consider it as a fuse that must resist, with a weaker point elsewhere, such as a limiting supply or a cable melting. Other consideration is size: the biggest one fitting in the space you have.

I have 12S Baterry. So when the tvs is active lets say above 60V, will it be short circuit? Doesn’t it melt the diode?
