Problem with mission planner and telemetry

I m facing a problem

I m using a pixhawk with tellemetry and storm32 gimbal controller
I have connect the storm32 with pixhawk through serial4

When i have on the storm32 i cant connect with mission planner through tellemetry
If i turn the storm 32 off it can connect

Can anybody help me?

I have same problem. Topic could be “telemetry doesn’t work while using Storm32 on mavlink”.

My configurtation:
SERIAL1_BAUD 57
SERIAL1_PROTOCOL 1
SERIAL2_BAUD 115
SERIAL2_PROTOCOL 1
BRD_SER2_RTSCTS 0
MNT_TYPE 4

I can connect from the Mission Planner only when battery is plugged in, few seconds before Strom32 is initialized. Then it is not possible connect anymore. The red LED on the telemetry module on the pixhawk side is blinking even if I’am not connected from the Mission Planner. I can reconnect only when I unplug serial connector from the Storm32 unit. I tried connect Storm32 to the others serial ports, same behavior.

my config:
Storm32, firmware v0.96
Pixhawk (clone), APM, Copter 3.4.1
Mission Planner, 1.3.41
3DR Telemetry 433MHz clone

workaround: I switched to MNT_TYPE 5, Strom32 Serial communication which works fine so far…

I have disconnected the storm32 mavlink and i have connect the pan and tilt at my tx

I m going to try your sollution to change to mnt type 5
