I am trying to simulate a quadplane and have followed the instructions here:
This works and I can simulate the quadcopter successfully. Once I try to add another model that is a qudplane it does not work. When starting the simulation on a windows machine, I select model: flightaxis and instead of selecting the multicopter icon I select the plane icon. Load the parameters with the plane next. Once this is done and sitl is started and connection established there is very weird behavior of the drone. Before I arm three of the four quad motors are spinning even before I arm the drone. Furthermore I am not able to have the drone take off in auto mode or any other mode without crashing, most likely because of the motor spinning.
Any suggestions on what could be causing this?
