I have a couple ‘traditional’ helis that I’d like to integrate with the Pixhawk 3DR but having problem in setup.
We have gone through the basic configuration instructions (ardupilot pages) and have apparently had success in the Mission Planner ‘Initial Setup’ as we can calibrate the transmitter end points (and see the on-screen indicators moving with relative control movements).
It is clear that power is being supplied from the Pixhawk to the Futaba receiver, but it appears that it is not proving power to the various servos.
Reading online, most if not all advice, is provided for electric traditional helis … where it seems power is somehow supplied to the servos through the ESC.
Given that we are working with a nitro (and a petrol) heli … we have no ESCs.
Any thoughts on how we might work a solution here would be very much appreciated.
Notes: We are running Pixhawk 3DR with PX4 Autopilot.
Mission Planner v 1.3.31 with ArduCopter 3.2.1 heli firmware installed
Please let me know what other information I might provide to help diagnose.
Thank you for your support and assistance.
