Plane goes into RTL mode at power up

Here is my issue:

  1. I turn on my RC-radio (Running Yaapu)
  2. Power up the FC/plane with the battery.
  3. While GPS is searching for the satellites, it goes into RTL mode.
  4. I have to flip RTL switch to exit out of the RTL mode.

I have not observed this issue on any other plane.
FC = Matek F765
GPS = M8N (I tried Matek and 3DR GPS, both same issue).

Any idea why it is doing this?

You should check the parameters that trigger an RTL; for example a geo-fence that you have set up.

@Lano, thanks. I had the GCS checked marked.

I read the documentation but I must admit it’s not very clear to a layman like me. I also have a hard time understanding “Throttle Failsafe”. To me my radio is Ground Station and if the FC is not receiving PWM signals from the Rx, it should trigger failsafe. So what is the difference between “GCS failsafe” and “Throttle failsafe”?

A GCS would be something like a laptop or tablet talking to the flight controller via a separate telemetry radio. The RC transmitter is not a GCS.

For throttle failsafe, read Plane Failsafe Function — Plane documentation
