Pixhawk & raspberry pi communication

Dear All,
I am following the guide available in the link below:

I connected my pixhawk to my raspberry pi model B as shown in the link and followed the post till the end. When I launched Mavproxy.py I only got garbage (letters, some of them were actual words). I tried to change the baud rate to 115200 however it didn’t workout.
Any suggestions?

Original or Chinese copy?
