Pixhawk 2.1 Edison ready Kit requires Edison board to run?

I’m trying to find informations on the requirements of Pixhawk 2.1 Edison ready Kit, but so far I can’t find any specific requirement on whether Edison board is required or not to run.
So, my point is if I buy the Pixhawk 2.1 Edison ready Kit today, will be able to fly it without the Edison board and buy it whenever I need it?

yes, the edison is entirely optional…

I was a bit confused, because I’ve been told by a distributor that the Edison ready kit should include Edison board, otherwise will not work

you only need the edison for companion cpmputer functionality, the PH2.1 will fly/drive/etc. fine without it. No Edison in mine yet…

Definitely not required for normal flight.

It is not included in the kit, 100% optional.
