Has anyone used Pixhack v3 on their boat before?
Do you recommend Pixhawk 2.4.8 or Pixhack v3?
They are not in the same league. Pixhawk 2.4.8’s are generic component reduced knock-offs of the Pixhawk reference standard. CUAV is quality gear and an Ardupilot Partner.
That said plenty of people have craft flying, driving and floating with the cheap 2.4.8.
I have a boat prepared with Pixhawk 2.4.8, now I want to build another one and I am undecided between these two autopilots…
So which one do you think I should use?
If you had both, which would you choose?

also Pixhack v3x ardupilot doesn’t show up on supported hardware page…
It’s supported, it’s a FMUV3 board. Use it.

Pixhawk1 is the correct version for the 2.4.8.
