Pix Racer/Mission Planner Doesn't control the servos in response to changes in orientation

I think I’m finally getting somewhere…

I did as you suggested and the result was a disaster…collective movement was not the same on all three servos…cyclic was therefore equally messed up.

So I put it all back again!

There appear to be a number of places to reverse the servos: Heli setup, Servo Output page and SERVO_Reversed parameters…and two days ago, these were not all refreshing together so I suspect that this is where some of my problems have come from. I have paused for a day and have come back to it but cannot now reproduce this effect (naturally). There has certainly been some bizarre behaviour from my PixRacer because after I re-instated the setup that I sent to you after not being successful with your suggested changes, the reversed pitch direction (stick forward, swashplate tips backwards) problem I had, was fixed. I have since removed the double negatives individually (on the RC channels) and have maintained the same correct functionality. I have a perception that clicking reverse on the Servo Output page was not making any difference two days ago but now is (it’s easy to monitor, you hear the servos jump if the click works - same as Write Parameters does if you change the reverse parameter on the config page)…All very puzzling.

I have had other weird issues in that after a couple of days of head banging with swashplate control issues, I lost control of the tail rotor. On investigating that, I noticed that Servo 4 was set to Motor 31 and there is no way I set that. Servo4 is the tail rotor and so surely should be set to Motor4? Servo6 is set to 31 (not Motor31!!) ie HeliRSC. T/R Control was restored when I reset it to Motor4. I also occasionally have bouts of inability to connect via the USB cable. Port 9 appears to work nicely but when the gremlins are about, the FMU appears as Port 3 and it won’t connect. If I persevere for 15mins, rebooting, restarting MP etc etc, Port 9 eventually reappears and connects as if nothing has happened. PC is less than 12months old. I can’t blame any of this on noise either but perhaps I have psu issues somewhere?

I’d like to blame the cat, but he’s round at my partner’s house and so I am a tad worried about the reliability of this FC…guess I should fit some blades and see what happens

I’ll report back on whether flight has been successful but for now, thank you for your patience and all your help and I can only apologise for making such a meal of this.

(Juergen and Yuri, I’ll also report back on the inverter issue in due course - thanks for your help too!)

Best regards,

D
