I cannot see air traffic in the data view simulation while using my ping usb receiver. Can anyone help?
im not sure on the data output format of this device so cant comment. however most people are using the ADSB support on the cube orange or similar

Are you talking about Ping RX or Ping USB? The Ping USB requires location data either by a web service or GPs stream to properly place Aircraft. You may see aircraft on mission planner with a connection to Ping USB, but they will not be located in the proper area because you do not have a geographical reference.
I would say that you could get a GPS USB dongle to feed position data into mission planner, then the Ping USB would work. Ideally, the best combination would be a Ping RX feeding through a flight controller that is injecting position data.
