Parts required for a waypoint following rover?

Hi

I’m a newbie in the RC and rover field.
I’m trying to build a 4WD rover platform, something like the wild thumper 4WD.
Can anyone tell me what electronic boards (motor controller, APM2.6… e.t.c) are required to make a waypoint following robot using the APM 2.6
