I understand that its Windows/Linux compatible, but could you please provide which windows platforms its compatible with? Windows 7 which I currently use, but is it compatible with Windows 8 or 8.1? Thank you.
APM Planner 2.0 will run on Windows 8 due to Windows 8 being compatible with Windows 7 apps.

Here my little experimentation
My PC is a not too recent ultrabook Samsung serie 7 (with SSD ) but it’s fully ok to run this very good application
it’s configured with dual boot : windows 8.1 and ubuntu trusty 14.04
First I’ve downloaded APM Planner 2.0.14 from planner2.ardupilot.com/ and installed on windows 8.1 then on ubuntu trusty 14.04
I’d have some difficulties to test my old APM 2.5 directly connected by USB cable (windows or ubuntu)
I’ve changed by APM Planner 2.0 15rc4 and all is ok

On QGroundControl platform, it’s possible to see PX4FLOW by “videolink” widget…what’s the future for APM Planner 2.0…

I run APM Planner on Linux (Ubuntu 12.04, 14.04), and on OSX. Works fine on all of them.
PX4FLOW support will come, It’s currently not supported in APM FW, so we haven’t re-intergrated that feature
