Orientation of GPS

Hi ,

I have this module and it works fine with Ardupilot. It has GPS (ublox m10) and compass

I want to know if there is a correct orientation when I install it on final Quad.

I see arrow on the pixhawk GPS where it shall point to the direction of flight but I can’t see similar one my module.

For the GPS itself the orientation is not important. For the Magnetometer itself the orientation must be known but it can be set by parmeters of the FC
The Magnetometer chip is the small device in the lower left corner of your left picture.
Based on that picture the positive X-Axis is downwards and the positive Y-Axis is to the right.

Many Thx

So the X-axis shall be the direction of flight?

Point the connector towards the rear of the craft. When a compass calibration is performed it will determine the orientation and set it automatically from the Auto rotation parameter which is enabled by default.

On which side shall the module face upwards?

I will place the module on gps mount holder and I am afraid to the antenna points downwards and lose signal.

The patch antenna is the ceramic square that is the size of the module and it faces up,

Got to say these are some very basic questions you could be moving thru rapidly.
