I’m starting my first Arducopter build. I’m using a Holybro Pixhawk 6c FC with a Radiomaster ELRS transmitter and receiver. The transmitter and receiver are bound and I’ve done a radio calibration in Mission Planner. I’m using Hobbywing XRotor 40A Pro ESCs. The positive and negative power leads are connected to the PDB and the servo leads with the signal and ground wires are connected appropriately to the PWM Out module that is connected to the FC with the correct wires or jumper or whatever it’s called. The ESCs act like they’re not “seeing” a signal from the FC. I’ve tried disabling the safety switch and even turning off the pre arm checks for the time being. When I plug in the battery the ESCs beep a single beep at a constant rate. In the manual for the ESCs that says 'No output from throttle channel". When I try to do a motor test in MP I get an error message that says “command was denied by autopilot”. I’m very new to Ardupilot. Things had been going rather straight forward until this point. Any ideas or suggestions?
The problem, I found out, was that the frame type was unrecognized even though I set it up as a quadcopter on the initial set up. After redoing that part, it worked…. more or less. It did take me bumping the throttle output to 17% to get the motors to turn doing the initial motor test.
