No contact between pixhawk and Rx after load 4.01

Dec. 13, and no one has stepped up to the plate. Need help.
I’m using a pixhawk with latest MP. and ppm 12 channel, Graupner GR-24 Rx and mx-20 Tx.
I installed AP 4.01 and MP says, “no RC”. Went back and checked, and I can no longer configure the radio- no motion at all in the colored bars. Communication from aircraft to MP is fine in every way but RC Tx. So it’s gotta be the Tx,—right? I don’t think so.Tx works fine- if I hook up servos direct,drives servos fine. If I hook up a servo to the data output channel for an instant as a poor man’s test for data, it buzzes, so there’s data there. The Pixhawk just does not see it somehow.
The entire system worked fine yesterday. The only thing I did was load 4.01.
I am still trying to find what went wrong.
Switched to SUMD mode (Graupner’s digital data system, rather than ppm sum as I used before, and no change- still no movement in the bars or servos.
Thank the gods it’s winter here, so I can troubleshoot, but I’m out of Ideas
