As since we have got our Nimbus VTOL V2, we are facing issues with its cruise flying.
With few waypoints given, it flies in a bumpy fashion. UP, down, up down, goes on in-between the waypoints.
We feel it is a CG issue.
Here is the CG Information (all in Italic)
SET 1
OLD CG POINT (130 mm from Leading Edge)
(Without Camera)
Initially Nose heavy
Added 207 grams dummy weight on tai to make it balanced
OLD CG POINT (130 mm from Leading Edge)
(WITH CAMERA)
Initially nose heavy
Added 250 grams dummy weight on tail to make it balanced
From another forum, we get to know that CG is at 100mm from the leading edge. So, we did the following calculation at 100mm point.
SET 2
With Camera
NEW CG POINT (100 mm from Leading Edge)
Initially nose heavy
Added 100 grams dummy weight on tail to make it balanced
NEW CG POINT (100 mm) [Battery foam removed and battery moved little backward]
Initially nose heavy
Added 85 grams dummy weight on tail to make it balanced
(WITHOUT CAMERA)
NEW CG POINT (100 mm) [Battery foam removed and battery pushed a little back]
Initially nose heavy
Added 40 grams dummy weight on tail to make it balanced
In case, if someone can guide us through this, it would be a great help towards a smooth cruise flying of our VTOL.
