New Iris +. Do I need to update firmware and how?

Hi. New iris + user here. Had two flights over the weekend. No prob, this fly’s great. But is there a firmware update for it and how do you apply it?

I am using APM on a mac. I did see a firmware update, but not sure which copter to choose. I assume arducopter 4 blade.

Yes, just choose Arducopter quadcopter (4 blade) if you want to update. Depending on what version you’re upgrading from, you might have to do a compass calibration. The other settings will be remembered from the previous firmware and should be fine.

BTW, if your IRIS+ is flying fine, no need for the upgrade.
