MP 1.3.72 will not connect through Bluetooth

I have a Skydroid M12L RC transmitter/receiver which also provides the connection for telemetry. It can connect to a PC running Mission Planner through USB or Bluetooth. UP through version 1.3.70 of MP, I have connected vie Bluetooth. I think 1.3.71 had the same problem as 1.3.72. I have 1.3.70 and 1.3.72 on my PC. The M12L connects via COM5 (bluetooth) on 1.3.70, but gives this message on 1.3.72:
