The button “Upload Firmware (Local)” is missing - even with radio settings loaded.
See version of mission planner in the picture below 1.3.82 - Also tried the beta version.
Upload Firmware (custom) doesn’t work either.

Qground control firmware flash works but it will only load version 2.0.
Running in to the same thing.
Only document I can find is here 3DR Radio v1 — Copter documentation
Just says to look for the missing button.
@tboyle I ended up just getting an older version of mission planner portable version from here

You can just unzip this and run it out of the folder to do the firmware updates. Local downloads the firmware automatically and the just “upate firmware” button lets you select local firmware, confusingly.
At any rate it appears the “update firmware (custom)” button is in the spot for the original local file firmware update and IS NOT WORKING in the newest version of mission planner.
