Mission Planner on laptop - X-Plane on desktop, can't connect in SITL

I have tried connecting UDP adding the IP address of the computer running X-Plane but I just can’t get it to connect. What obvious thing have I missed?

The laptop is running Ubuntu

I should add, still connects all fine locally on 127.0.0.1

That was quick, solved! I should have selected TCP and the X-Plane computers IP.

So in summary, I think it connected once and I have no idea how, but I might just be making that up.
